The monsters of my childhood: The ghosts

By Nicol Ramos

When I was little kid I used to go to play to my cousin house every day. She it is adorable. But, she love to scare people. One day she told me a story about “The Phantom of the Opera”.  After that she started to hide behind the doors or the beds and grab my ankles.
According to my cousin the Phantom of the Opera love to sing and whistle. So, when I heard a whistle I scared me.

The other monster was all the demons or the ghosts scared me. Maybe that was caused by the horror films, the stories that the people tell to kids or the catholic religion.

My mommy gave me a very catholic early education. And they always scared the people with the hell and that kind of things. Then, I grow up, and as everyone. And I started to give logical explications to the phenomenon. Instead of give an animistic responses-children give life to inanimate objects-.

However, I used to imagine good monsters.  Like a huge worm that lives under the ground and cause the earthquake when he moves. And what about you, what are your monsters of your childhood? Bye, bye and see next time!
